About Bequesta

A Practice Built on Patience and Order

We started Bequesta because too many families were spending stressful weeks searching for documents that could have been neatly indexed years earlier.

How Bequesta Began

Bequesta was founded in Bangkok in 2019 by a small group of organisational consultants who had spent years helping corporate clients maintain orderly document archives. Over time, several of those consultants noticed something quieter and more personal: the same problems that plagued companies — missing files, inconsistent labelling, no single reference point — were happening to ordinary families at the most difficult moments in their lives.

When a parent passes away or becomes unwell, the people left to manage their affairs often discover that no one wrote anything down. Bank accounts, insurance policies, property papers, wishes about care — all of it scattered or entirely absent. Bequesta was built to address exactly that gap, not through legal instruments, but through the quiet discipline of good record-keeping.

We are based at 110 Silom Road in Bangkok's Bang Rak district, a few minutes from the BTS. Our sessions are held in a private room designed to be calm and unhurried. We work with individuals, couples, and — where the participant requests it — wider family groups.

Our approach is educational and facilitative. We do not give legal or financial advice, and we do not prepare binding documents of any kind. What we do is help you think clearly, write plainly, and leave behind a record that anyone who matters can follow.

Our Guiding Principles

Clarity over complexity

Simple, readable notes serve families better than dense documentation few can understand.

Pace over urgency

We never rush. Legacy work deserves thoughtful attention, not a checklist completed under pressure.

Scope over scope creep

We stay firmly within our organisational role and are transparent about when a qualified professional is the right next step.

Privacy without exception

Session notes belong to you. We retain nothing beyond the agreed period and share nothing without your knowledge.

Our Standards of Practice

Every session and programme at Bequesta operates within a clear framework of professional conduct.

Scope Transparency

We define clearly at the outset of every engagement what falls within our organisational role and what requires a licensed professional. There is no ambiguity about the scope of our work.

Personal Data Handling

Session notes, document lists and personal details are handled in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). Data is held only as long as agreed and never shared externally.

Neutral Facilitation

Workshop facilitators are trained to remain neutral and non-directive. We do not express opinions on how a person should distribute their assets or structure their affairs.

Professional Referral Notes

Where participants need qualified solicitors, notaries or financial advisers, we document that requirement clearly in their records and can indicate the appropriate type of professional to engage.

Plain-Language Documentation

All notes produced in sessions are written in clear, accessible language. We avoid technical or legal phrasing that could be misread as advice or cause confusion at a later date.

Periodic Review Process

For clients on the Records Continuity Programme, we build in structured review points to ensure records remain accurate as circumstances change over time.

What We Do — and What We Don't

Bequesta occupies a particular space in Bangkok's professional services landscape. We are not a law firm, we do not advise on inheritance tax, and we do not prepare any document intended to have legal effect. Our work is entirely concerned with organisation, inventory, and the plain-language recording of intentions.

Families and individuals come to us because they want their important paperwork to be findable and understandable. They want the people who matter — spouses, adult children, trusted advisers — to be able to locate a will, an insurance policy, a title deed, or a set of healthcare wishes without spending weeks searching. Bequesta creates the reference point that makes that possible.

Our sessions draw on methods adapted from professional archiving and records management. We ask structured questions, create indexed lists, and produce written summaries in the client's own words. The resulting documents belong entirely to the client and are stored wherever the client chooses.

Bangkok's diverse expatriate and Thai professional community has responded warmly to this approach. Whether individuals hold property, financial accounts, or personal effects across multiple countries, or whether their situation is entirely domestic, the underlying need is the same: clarity. Bequesta provides the structure within which that clarity becomes possible.
